Building this log cottage has been a lifelong dream of mine, and a source of worry and work for the last many years.

• I know I may have another year or so left until I am done with it all, but part of the reason for that is myself and others being in no hurry at all.

I want it to be pitch perfect in every way, so if it takes many years to finish, then that’s how long it takes! The structure itself is done, and there is a roof and walls and even exterior doors, so I can sleep here on long weekends. To work here during the summer time I definitely had to invest in a small a/c unit, which would work now that I had enclosed spaces. The first few summers were brutal, with no hope of any cooling besides jumping in the lake, because with no structure to trap the chilly air there was no point in AC… Now at least I will be wonderful for cooling down a room or multiple, which I can do while laboring, or just to have a nice comfortable arena to sleep, once I have all the interior work down, and the plumbing and electrical grid installed, after that I can know about what kind of climate control idea I will get for the arena. I want a wood burning furnace to use in the winters, but I’m not sure if central cooling system is the way to go, or just getting more window units, because there won’t certainly be that numerous rooms.

The quarantine was poor enough, but now because of all these forest fires everything is turned up another level. 2020 is 1 corker of a year, isn’t it? Over the last few weeks our partner in addition to I have played every card game, dice game, board game, video game, in addition to career playing game that we have, and both of us have played them all to death; The fires have us more trapped in addition to indoors than COVID ever did, thanks to all the smoke in the air, in addition to we have totally run out of things I enjoy! Thankfully I had a few spare air filters, but just to be safe I kept the dirty 1 to see if I could wash it up to reuse it. I would prefer not to use an old dirty air filter, but if I have no option in the matter than I will make do! I hope these fires go away soon, so the air filter thing never becomes a real problem.

Thankfully she has an extra package of 12 air filters in her garage, however she is still really sad so she keeps the ancient ones plus tries to scrap them as clean as possible… Hopefully it will burn out abruptly, however if they end up trapped on the mountaintop for a longer phase of time, she may have to reuse plus recycle those HEPA air filters.

While I have a fairly creative brain, I am not entirely superb when it comes to putting it down on paper.

Or in this case, a laptop program. However, with my fiance’s help, all of us started doing just that with house plans. This began a few years ago as well as is area of a lager plan. My brother plus I have consistently been eerily similar, so much so, that our mother loves to joke that the people I was with and I are secretly twins, but every one of us are not, as our brother is older than me by 3 years.

Even still, our brother plus I are similar on pretty much everything, whether it be looks, interests plus even personality.

Every one of us both have yellow esure plus short medium brown hair, the only difference absolutely is that he is more muscular plus I am lean, plus that he is a couple inches taller than me!
