I didn’t despite the fact that I went anyway.

When I was a child my father in addition to I would always stop by this gas station in addition to get a frosty ice cream on the way household from church. Dad never went to church with us but that is another story. To be honest, I guess the only reason I went to church with my dad was for that ice cream afterwards. It was always warm in addition to uncomfortable in the church. Always. The church was small in addition to crowded in addition to it had 1 window air conditioning unit. In the Summer it was warm in addition to uncomfortable, but dad never wanted to kneel near the cooling system because you couldn’t hear well if you sat next to the cooling system. I didn’t see that as much of a concern but evidently my father did. My buddy and I always sat in the first or second row, however you could hear just fine there, and however, you didn’t get any cool air in those pews. In the winter time months the church was also warm because the church’s furnace worked wonderfully. In fact, it worked too well. I don’t know if it didn’t have a temperature control or what but it was always well over 69 degrees in the church. The furnace would be blasting away while we sweated in addition to suffered. At least I had a nice cool ice cream to look forward to. winter time or summer, I knew I would get my ice cream for the drive home. That made it all worthwhile, then last year I went back home. Dad asked if I wanted to go to church with him. I didn’t despite the fact that I went anyway. That old church now has central air conditioning! I didn’t mind it so much. Still, I obtained us ice cream on the way home. After all, you can’t split traditions.

You have heard the term “woke up on the wrong side of the bed” before I am sure.

It means that you just woke up grumpy. Anyway, I woke up on the wrong side of the bed this afternoon in addition to the afternoon just got worse from there. I could tell I was in a disappointing mood as soon as my alarm went off. I don’t know why I woke up grumpy despite the fact that I was. Then I got toothpaste on my blouse, dropped my wonderful cereal bowl, in addition to hit a lot of traffic so I was late for work. Work was uneventful but my mood never improved. To top it all off, when I got household my cooling system wasn’t working. The household was warm in addition to uncomfortable. I don’t know when the cooling system stopped working despite the fact that I am starting to guess it might have been last evening. That would explain why I woke up grumpy. I didn’t notice it being warm in the household in the afternoon but it entirely was. If it was warm at evening after that I entirely didn’t sleep well. That just set my whole afternoon off wrong. Anyway, the only wonderful thing that happened today was when the Heating as well as A/C company told me they could come out within 2 hours. Then they absolutely showed up on time! Then they fixed the cooling system before bed time. So things are finally starting to look up in addition to my mood is improving. I am hoping that I sleep well tonight with the cooling system blasting away. Then I will wake up in a better mood tomorrow.

I am super tired.

I haven’t slept in about 36 hours and it is all because of my air conditioning system.

Tuesday started out as a regular day: I went to work, got home, had dinner, and started getting ready for bed. Just as I lay my head on my pillow I heard a terrible screeching noise coming from my air conditioning system outside. I bolted out of bed to check it out. That is when I started smelling smoke. I turned off my air conditioner at the thermostat then I ran outside in my pajamas. That was when I was greeted by smoke coming out of my utility shed. I could also see flames through the cracks in the door. I knew better than to open the door and cause a flash over. Instead, I called the fire department. They arrived in just a few minutes and got my air conditioner fire under control. Needless to say, my air conditioner is completely ruined. Apparently it seized up, caught fire, and the fire spread to my hot water heater. So now I don’t have air conditioning or hot water. Thankfully my home was saved and there is almost no damage outside of the utility closet. Needless to say I got no sleep last night. Today I spent the whole day calling up repair companies. I got a plumber out this afternoon to replace the hot water heater. I then got an HVAC company out to replace my air conditioner. That cost quite a bit of money. From now on I’m going to have my HVAC system service regularly so this doesn’t happen again.

Since I worry about greenhouse gasses and the health of our planet I am always taking steps to try and reduce my carbon footprint.

• I take public transportation as often as possible.

I don’t support companies that are not earth conscious and I am a vegan. After all, cows are one of the main sources of greenhouse gasses. That is because they fart a lot. No, that is not a joke. Cows really are a huge source of pollution. One thing I didn’t realize was a huge pollution causer is our HVAC systems. I recently found out that leaking coolant is terrible for our ozone layer. That mostly applies to older HVAC systems though. New one don’t use that dangerous coolant, thankfully. However, an HVAC system that is not running efficiently also is bad for the earth. This is because power is a big source of greenhouse gasses. Heating and cooling systems are the largest sources of power consumption in the average household. So if your HVAC system is not running efficiently that means it uses even more power and causes even more greenhouse gasses. This is true of even newer HVAC systems. Once I found that out I hired an HVAC company to come out to service my HVAC system and make sure it is running efficiently. Thankfully, my system still has a good SEER rating. The HVAC company did clean up my system some so I can rest easy knowing I am doing all I can for planet earth. How about you? Is your HVAC system up to date and running efficiently?

I am really conscious about all of the trash in the world’s oceans. It is disgusting how much we throw away. That trash will be floating around our world for thousands of years. And we just keep adding to it. I know I can’t control what other people do but I have decided that my family is going to start doing our part to reduce waste. That means we are using reusable grocery bags and reusable face masks. We also don’t buy paper napkins or paper towels. Instead, we use cloth ones. We shop at farmer’s markets as much as possible so that everything isn’t wrapped in plastic. Additionally, we recently bought a reusable air filter for our HVAC system. I am embarrassed to say that it took me more than a few years to realize that reusable air filters are an option. Before, we used to buy a new filter every few months. The problem with disposable air filters is that they come wrapped in plastic. Not only that but the metal, cardboard, and fabric that makes up disposable filters also add to the waste problem in this planet. The disposable air filter, on the other hand, can be washed again and again and used for over a decade. That makes me very happy. I am sure it makes the earth happy too. It is supper easy to wash the reusable filter too. You just take it out of your HVAC system, wipe it down, then reinsert it. It is hardly any more work than changing a disposable filter. Besides, it saves us a lot of money. Disposable filters cost about $20 each.

I work late the overnight shift.

I’ve always liked working late.

I guess I’m a bit of a night-owl. My husband and I had it worked out pretty good with him working a regular 9-5 job and me working overnight. We still ate dinner together and had a significant amount of free time. So it was great. However, with Covid 19, and the lockdown, we both now work from home and we do nothing but bicker. The biggest thing we fight about is the thermostat settings. We both like the temperature super cold when we are trying to sleep. This wasn’t a problem before but it is now. That is because it is hard to stay awake and work when the temperature is in the 60s. So at night I struggle with working my shift because I want to sleep when it is that cold. My husband has the same issue when I am trying to sleep during the day. And yet, if one of us adjusts the thermostat so we can work then the sleeping party wakes up and can’t sleep. So we are always tired and grumpy now. We tried compromising on the thermostat setting but then no one is comfortable. Finally, we sat down and talked about the issue. We decided to get zone control installed in our house. That way, we can set the thermostat to freezing cold in the bedroom while keeping it nice and warm in the living room where our home offices are. I hope that the HVAC installation company is able to install this zone control very soon. Otherwise, we may end up killing one another.

I heard some scratching at the back door.

When I opened it I found a very pregnant hound mix resting there, however people are consistently dumping their cats around here and it makes me so mad; Of course the shelter was closed by this time so I took the dog inside and made her comfortable, and she honestly like my radiant floors and seemed to be making a nest for herself in the corner of the kitchen… I hoped she wouldn’t have her puppies that evening but, sure enough, she did just that.

I was up all evening delivering puppies while resting on the floor, at least the floor was nice and hot so I was comfortable; Mama dog and her puppies were also comfortable on the heated floor. I turned the heat up a few degrees in the kitchen inorder to make sure they stayed comfortable. Around 3am all of the puppies were delivered and I finally got some sleep. I just knew I was going to have a very sore back from resting on the difficult floor for half the evening. That did not turn out to be the case at all. In fact, when I woke up a few hours later, my back felt perfectly fine. I know the underfloor heating kept me from getting a sore back. I am grateful for that. Mama dog and puppies were also doing just nice in the morning. I have decided to let them stay. I know I’m a dog foster parent now. I want to make sure they stay hot and comfortable until the puppies are seasoned enough to find homes of their own.

I want to make sure they stay warm in addition to comfortable until the puppies are old enough to find homes of their own.

My mom has been baking all afternoon long plus it is warm in the house.

I have the air conditioner on full speed however it just can’t compete with the oven.

My associate and I moved my mom into the spare kitchen 6 months ago. She is ready to retire plus I need child care. So it is perfect. However, it was a big mistake to tell his about the school bake sale. I know he thinks he needs to stock the bake sale easily by herself because the oven hasn’t turned off all afternoon. I am ecstatic he is enthusiastic about helping out. However, at this rate, it will take several hours before the home cools down enough for us to sleep. It is already sundown. That means we are all going to have a hard time sleeping tonight. I would complain about it however it is already done, and besides, it is not genuinely my mom’s fault that the air conditioner doesn’t toil right. After all, the air conditioner should be able to keep up with the oven. It is not even Summer yet. If the air conditioner can’t keep the home cool now it genuinely won’t be able too when the real heat hits either. I have known that the air conditioner needed some service for over a year now although I have been ignoring it plus hoping it would go away. Of course, it doesn’t toil that way. Things never just service themselves. So I know I am going to have to call up a local cooling system supplier in the day. Hopefully they can service the air conditioner without charging too much.
