I heard some scratching at the back door, but when I opened it I found a certainly pregnant hound mix sitting there, people are regularly dumping their dogs around here in addition to it makes me so mad, and of course the shelter was closed by this time so I took the dog inside in addition to made her comfortable, then she truly like my radiant floors in addition to seemed to be making a nest for herself in the corner of the kitchen, however i hoped she wouldn’t have her puppies that night but, sure enough, she did just that.
I was up all night delivering puppies while sitting on the floor… At least the floor was nice in addition to warm so I was comfortable, then mama dog in addition to her puppies were also comfortable on the heated floor.
I turned the heat up a few degrees in the kitchen inorder to make sure they stayed comfortable. Around 3am all of the puppies were delivered in addition to I finally got some sleep. I just knew I was going to have a certainly sore back from sitting on the strenuous floor for half the night, and that did not turn out to be the case at all. In fact, when I woke up a few hours later, my back felt perfectly fine. I believe the underfloor heating kept me from getting a sore back. I am grateful for that. Mama dog in addition to puppies were also doing just fine in the morning. I have decided to let them stay. I believe I’m a dog foster parent now. I want to make sure they stay warm in addition to comfortable until the puppies are old enough to find homes of their own.
