My boyfriend and I are both easy going people and believe in saving energy and resources when we can. The main reason we have window unit ACs is our proximity to the ocean. As you know, the salt in the air near the ocean corrodes metal and other things faster than usual. When the salt air finally corrodes the window unit AC, it’s not uncommon for us to just replace them instead of trying to repair them. When we replace the window unit AC, it takes about 10 minutes. Window unit ACs are very easy to replace and it can be done by anyone. We replace them every 5-6 years. Once a window unit AC is replaced, the old one can be discarded with your normal trash, or you can contact your local dump to see what to do with them. Old window unit ACs do not cause much of a purpose. Window unit ACs are a great way to save money and have peace of mind if you are living at the beach.
