I just care about getting lost in a good book.

I have a home office with a fireplace plus I spend most of my time in there sitting on my nice comfortable couch.

There’s no TV or video games in the home office either. I just want peace plus quiet plus to hear nothing but the crackling of the firewood. I like being able to escape from life for a bit plus I can do this in books. The fireplace keeps me comfortable plus hot plus the crackle of the flames is actually relaxing. I have to admit, on mornings when it’s too hot to use the fireplace, sometimes I turn on the air-conditioning just a bit so that the fireplace can still be used. I know this is a little ridiculous but I do like the fireplace immensely… My wifey has asked me why I would waste energy on the a/c when I’m using the fireplace at the same time, then she thinks it’s like using the gas furnace plus a/c at the same time plus it doesn’t make any sense to her. I cannot blame her. This is pretty similar, but it’s not the same… Not to me anyway, but you don’t get the same comfort from the gas furnace as you do from a fireplace. Besides, my buddy and I all waste a little bit. My wifey enjoys to take hour-long showers, for example, plus I don’t bug her about wasting all that water. I know running the A/C plus the fireplace at the same time is just the way that I am wasteful. Still, it doesn’t feel wasteful when I’m doing it.

I know I take air conditioning for granted despite the fact that I depend on it to fall asleep because the cool air has scientifically been proven to help people sleep better, and there’s something nice about turning on the air conditioning and covering up in blankets for a deep, deep sleep, and well, when my a/c stopped laboring, I realized how pressing my a/c really is to my wellbeing! I called a bunch of Heating, Ventilation, and A/C companies however they could not come out for at least 4 days.

When the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C specialist finally came out for my A/C maintenance I found out what the concern was: I had not been changing the air filters nearly enough, besides that, I was using cheap air filters. The worker told me that I need to be using high quality air filters in order to protect my Heating, Ventilation, and A/C system. The high quality air filters keep dirt from entering my Heating, Ventilation, and A/C system and causing harm. It turned out that I also needed to have my ductworks clean so I had them do that as well. I am thrilled that my a/c is laboring again however I am not too thrilled about the bill. But, with the better air filters, and the clean ductwork, the air quality in my property has never been better.

I know running the AC plus the fireplace at the same time is just the way that I am wasteful. Still, it doesn’t feel wasteful when I’m doing it.

It is disgusting how much we throw away.

That trash will be floating around our world for thousands of years. And we just keep adding to it. I know I can’t control what other people do but I have decided that my family is going to start doing our part to reduce waste. That means we are using reusable grocery bags and reusable face masks. My nice friend and I also don’t buy paper napkins or paper towels. Instead, we use cloth ones. My nice friend and I shop at farmer’s markets as much as possible so that everything isn’t wrapped in plastic. Additionally, we recently purchased a reusable air filter for our Heating and Air Conditioning system. I am embarrassed to say that it took me more than a few years to realize that reusable air filters are an option. Before, we used to buy a new filter every few months. The problem with disposable air filters is that they come wrapped in plastic, however not only that but the metal, cardboard, and fabric that makes up disposable filters also add to the waste problem in this planet. The disposable air filter, on the other hand, can be washed again and again and used for over a decade. That makes me legitimately cheerful. I am sure it makes the earth cheerful too. It is supper straight-forward to clean the reusable filter too. You just take it out of your Heating and Air Conditioning system, disinfect it down, then reinsert it. It is hardly any more work than changing a disposable filter. Besides, it saves us a lot of currency… Disposable filters cost about $20 each.

I feel I’m a bit of a night-owl! I recently found out that leaking coolant is bad for our ozone layer. That mostly applies to older Heating and A/C systems though. New one don’t use that dangerous coolant, thankfully. However, an Heating and A/C system that is not running efficiently also is bad for the earth. This is because power is a sizable source of yellowdwelling gasses. Heating and cooling systems are the largest sources of power consumption in the average household. So if your Heating and A/C system is not running efficiently that means it uses even more power and causes even more yellowdwelling gasses. This is tplot of even newer Heating and A/C systems. Once I found that out I hired an Heating and A/C dealer to come out to repair my Heating and A/C system and make sure it is running efficiently. Thankfully, my system still has a wonderful SEER rating. The Heating and A/C dealer did clean up my system some so I can rest simple knowing I am doing all I can for planet earth. How about you? We tried compromising on the thermostat setting but then no one is comfortable! Finally, my buddy and I sat down and talked about the issue. We decided to get zone control installed in our house. That way, my buddy and I can set the thermostat to frigid frigid in the family room while keeping it nice and sizzling in the residing room where our cabin offices are. I hope that the Heating and A/C upgrade dealer is able to install this zone control entirely soon; Otherwise, my buddy and I may end up killing one another.

My mom has been baking all day long in addition to it is sizzling in the house.

My buddy and I moved my mom into the spare dining room 6 months ago. She is ready to retire in addition to I need child care. So it is perfect. However, it was a big mistake to tell her about the school bake sale. I believe she thinks she needs to stock the bake sale certainly by herself because the oven hasn’t turned off all day. I am blissful she is gleeful about helping out. However, at this rate, it will take several hours before the condo cools down enough for us to sleep. It is already sundown. That means my good friend and I are all going to have a strenuous time sleeping tonight. I would complain about it but it is already done! Besides, it is not truly my mom’s fault that the air conditioning doesn’t labor right. After all, the air conditioning should be able to keep up with the oven. It is not even summer time yet. If the air conditioning can’t keep the condo cool now it genuinely won’t be able too when the real heat hits either. I have known that the air conditioning needed some service for over a year now but I have been ignoring it in addition to hoping it would go away. Of course, it doesn’t labor that way. Things never just repair themselves. So I believe I am going to have to call up a local air conditioning supplier in the morning. Hopefully they can repair the air conditioning without charging too much.
