I often find myself struggling being a girl.
I am not your typical girl.
I tend to do many things that people associate with boys. I work on cars, I fix things around the house and as a profession I am an HVAC technician. I help people with their HVAC systems and any needs that they may have. I love my job. When I show up to a person’s home, they are often surprised to see a girl as an HVAC professional. I think people often associate this profession as a boy profession. It just so happens that I am currently the best employee in the company as well. People tend to request me because I care about my customers. I build a good rapport with customers as I am taking care of a very expensive piece of equipment. I let customers know anything and everything about their system. I will let them know what is wrong with the system and what will happen to fix it. I inform customers of what I have done. When working with equipment that people depend on within their home, I find that it is important to tell customers all about their HVAC systems. I also promote people to ask me questions as a lot of people do not know too much about their HVAC systems. As an HVAC technician, it is our job to fix, install and tune up all systems. It is also up to us to help the customer and to build rapport with them so that they feel comfortable to call us again when they need help.
