My hubby and I have been battling our kid about the temperature control settings and it’s been incredibly stressful.
- Our kid begged to make the property on the second floor her bedroom, and my hubby and I continuously told him no, however my pal and I didn’t have a problem with him using the property as her bedroom because the space was rarely used anyway, however my great friend and I knew that she would be uncomfortable! The heat in our home naturally rose up there, which is why my great friend and I never used the property space to begin with.
During the Summer months, our kid would suffocate up there and there was nothing my great friend and I could do about it… She pushed and pushed and my great friend and I finally told him that she could make the property her bedroom, however it would be hot, then everything was fine, until she began changing the temperature control settings extremely. She would lower the temperature by 10 degrees sometimes, which not only affected the rest of the house, however it was costing a fortune! No matter what my great friend and I did, our kid would change the temperature control settings and it was changing our monthly energy bills, and when my hubby and I realized that our kid wasn’t going to supply up her bedroom in the loft, my great friend and I decided to try something new. My pal and I didn’t mind him using the space because like I said before, it never got used. Instead of attaching to the central Heating and A/C system, my great friend and I decided to install a ductless mini split unit. It would run off of electricity and it was only responsible for cooling that area, which made it efficient!
