I have lived with my family my whole life & I have decided it is time to live on my own.
- I am turning twenty-five next week & want to make sure that I know how to take care of condo before I get married & start having adolescents.
I know it is going to be a learning process because my Dad & dad have always taken care of things for me, although I know I am getting too outdated to rely on them for everything, however last week I ran into my first big issue while living on my own. I woke up in the middle of the night to a large puddle on my floor. At first thought maybe I spilled water & forgot to clean it up, however after further investigation I found that was not the case. The puddle was coming from a leak in my Heating, Ventilation, & A/C component closet. The cooling component it had started to leak & now there was a large mess. I didn’t know what to do at first so I called my dad, and she said I needed to call a local Heating, Ventilation, & A/C supplier to come out & inspect my cooling unit, however it was most likely leaking because the air filter had not been changed properly. After having a Heating, Ventilation, & A/C supplier come out I realized she was right about me not changing the cooling system filter. I need to make sure that I am changing it every three months so make sure that the cooling component coils don’t freeze & then cause another leak.
