I do not want any Heating, Ventilation & A/C complications so I change my air filter, in my heating & air conditioner, every single month.
This can be a little bit overpriced although I suppose it’s worth it.
I also have an Heating, Ventilation & A/C company come out & clean & check over my Heating, Ventilation & A/C system at least twice a year too. I just want to keep everything running smoothly, but however, I do not like having to throw away the old air filter every single month; it seems like such a waste, additionally, air filters are not recyclable either. I brought up this concern last Springtime when the Heating, Ventilation & A/C supplier came out to clean my system. The company told me about reusable air filters. I had no idea such a thing exists. Apparently, you just clean the reusable air filter & then reclaim it month after month & they last over a decade. That’s over a hundred-twenty air filters not going into the landfill… Unluckyly, the company did not have any reusable air filters with him at the time. However he did call his dispatcher & was told that they have reusable air filters at the base. Better yet, another company was driving through the area & would be able to drop it off on his way. So my company got my Heating, Ventilation & A/C system all cleaned out & then installed the reusable air filter before he left that afternoon. I feel wonderful about it. I do not know if I’m imagining it or not although I feel like the current air filter is working even better than the disposable ones. The air seems much cleaner & healthier. I also will be saving hundreds of dollars by not having to buy disposable air filters every month anymore.
