Our kid was making the 6 hour drive from his current home to ours. She makes this drive at least once a year so every one of us weren’t concerned. However, he called about an hour from my current home as well as said that his car was close to overheating. She explained that he had checked the fluids as well as they were wonderful however that the temperature gage had been straddling the yellow line for over an hour now. I told his to turn off the car’s air conditioning as well as to turn on the heater. That would help detach heat from the engine. But, if the gage went into the red, he needed to pull over as well as call me. I would come get her. It was a honestly warm morning so I cranked the air conditioning down in our current home in preparation for his arrival. Sure enough, our kid pulled into the driveway about an hour later. So he didn’t need to run the furnace in the car at all. I didn’t tell his that though. I just fixed it for her. Now he can use his air conditioning when he drives back in a week or more than one.
