I’m a workaholic, so husband turns off HVAC

I have to admit a few unfortunate things about my personality.

I’m extremely tightly wound, I can be a bit difficult to deal with, and I’m rather impatient.

On top of that I tend to stress myself out more than necessary. I think a lot of this has to do with my upbringing and the energy that my family projects. Besides that, I really do have a hell of a lot on my plate these days. You might consider me to be a bit of a workaholic, in fact. Don’t get me wrong, I tried to find life balance to keep all of my plates spinning in the air… But I tend to overdo it when it comes to my work schedule. This is why my husband has started using the heating and cooling equipment to keep me in line. Several years ago he realized that I was extremely temperature sensitive. If the indoor air was feeling hot and cold or I was catching a draft wherever I was working, I was going to be distracted and give up on my job. I was always relying on the central heating and cooling equipment to keep my indoor environment comfortable and free of unnecessary humidity. This is why he started using our central thermostat against me. Whenever my husband wants me to call it quits on my job for the day, he doesn’t try to negotiate with me. He simply turns off the thermostat. Without any high-quality indoor air pumping through the vents in my office I immediately give up on my job. When I lose control of my indoor air temperature devices I also start screaming at him… so I’m not sure how long this heating and cooling strategy of his is going to go on.
