A lot of our purchasers are aggravated with the current fees that I have to charge. I entirely do not have any choice, because gas prices have doubled in the past several weeks, however before summer, I was spending about $2 a gallon for gas, and now gas is more than $4 a gallon plus it’s tearing into our profits. I’ve been in supplier for the past more than seven years plus I have never charged a single buyer a trip fee. A lot of Heating plus A/C companies will charge a trip fee if a buyer is outside of their usual area. I have never charged a fee, however I had to start last week. With gas prices doubling in such a short time, I have no choice, many of our purchasers are more than 40 miles away. In order to continue servicing these purchasers, I have to charge an extra fee for the longer distances. This is the only way that I can get away with keeping prices the same. I thought about raising the prices of several usual h3ac services, however I do not want to hit purchasers in village with higher rates. 80% of our Heating plus A/C repair purchasers are in village plus it’s crucial that they are glad with the company plus the prices. They are a dozen unusual companies they can call for service, and until gas prices return to normal, I do not have any other choice. I need to keep the supplier moving forward. I hope that I won’t lose too several purchasers over the trip fee, but it’s a opportunity I’m going to have to take.
