When I first moved into my first house, I didn’t care much for bills since I was no longer paying rent.
However, 10 to 15 years down the line, I started getting concerned about the energy bills.
The HVAC business that did my first air conditioning installation was relatively new in the business. So they did not offer much besides the sale of quality HVAC equipment like the cooling system and radiant heater HVAC equipment. I increasingly started having an a/c workman to come over for HVAC service and every visit cost me quite a sum. Although my systems were still within a reasonable seer rating range, the rate was dropping as my equipment wore out. So I reached out to a more professional HVAC contractor to advise me on the best approach to take and his advice was for me to sign up for an air conditioner service plan. The plan was rather costly because I needed a remedy for aging systems but I had the option of installing new HVAC to replace my old ones if I needed to improve air quality systems. I decided to go with the former plan to save on utility bills, repair costs, and replacement expenses instead of relying on my portable space heater. This plan also promised me priority service over regular customers and reasonable discounts with every repair. Most importantly, I wouldn’t have to worry about getting assistance after hours because that’s part of the package. The plan has so far given me peace of mind and I can put more aside to save for any eventuality should I need to replace a broken down unit.
