Why should I trust the HVAC technician to fix my HVAC unit properly? I have been fixing my HVAC unit for years, and I am not sure that I trust an HVAC technician to fix my HVAC unit as well as I have. I have seen a lot of bad HVAC technicians. Even though the HVAC technicians are supposed to be professionals at fixing HVAC units, my dad had a lot of HVAC technicians that ruined his HVAC units. The HVAC technicians are not some kind of superhuman that just wants to fix HVAC units for no reason. They do not fix HVAC units just because they love fixing HVAC units. HVAC technicians become HVAC technicians for the money, and just like other humans, they want to do as little work as possible while making as much money as possible. That is why it is not unheard of to have an HVAC technician take shortcuts while working on your HVAC unit. Furthermore, not every HVAC technician is reliable. My father used to hire HVAC technicians, but after quite a few bad experiences with HVAC technicians, my dad began teaching himself how to fix his own HVAC units. Because of how firm he was against HVAC companies, I had to learn how to fix HVAC units too. I have heard a lot of horror stories from my friends about the HVAC technicians they hire, and it makes me glad that I know how to fix my own HVAC units. I am so thankful that my dad taught me how to fix my own HVAC units. Sure, I could afford to hire an HVAC technician, but I am not convinced that hiring an HVAC technician would be the right choice. If I want my HVAC units to work properly, I am probably going to have to fix the HVAC units myself.
