I was pretty foolish to try to repair the air duct problem we were having, however i thought maybe it just needed to be cleaned, so I got our Shop-vac and vacuumed as far as I could reach into the air duct system.
I got a lot of dirt and all, however when I ran the Heating plus Air Conditioning plan after that, the plan was still struggling to supply enough heating.
I basically had to set up a bunch of portable gas furnaces and call the Heating plus Air Conditioning corporation, then when the Heating plus Air Conditioning specialist arrived, he inspected everything including the air duct, he managed to find a bunch of places in the air duct that were leaking and he said we needed duct sealing and repair. He also said we should entirely have the air duct cleaned. When I told him I already cleaned the air duct, he laughed. He said he never heard of anybody trying to clean the air duct system, but he promised myself and others with his tools, he could do a much better task. I even made a bet with the guy, I told him if he could pull more than a handful of dirt out of the air duct, then I would pay him for the task, otherwise it had to be on him. He agreed and he pulled mounds of dirt out of there. He took before and after pictures and I could even see as far as I got, but he got everything! I was more than ecstatic to pay him for his work; This is the kind of guy I wouldn’t mind hanging out with at the bar and just enjoying a drink while talking about random stuff.
