The car’s heater broke, plus my teeth cracked from shivering

When I got home, I couldn’t even speak, and my mother was upset

Last year, I was driving north to spend time with my family. It was the Christmas holidays, so I took three weeks off work and went home. I missed the snow and cold that had come to our area, and I had hoped to go skiing. I was about 100 miles from home when my car’s heater failed. I got so cold with the Heating and Air Conditioning system that my teeth chattered. I pulled over to see if they could service the Heating and Air Conditioning system, but no one was available. They told me that at their next service station, which was only thirty miles away, there should be someone available to do Heating and Air Conditioning work. If I could make it another thirty miles, I figured I might as well go home and take the car to our local service station. I knew they had people who could repair heating and air conditioning. I turned off the heating and cooling system, knowing that my windows would ice, but I didn’t want cold air blowing on me. I was so cold by the time I got home that I couldn’t feel my nose, and I was sure I had cracked one of my teeth from the shivering. When I got home, I couldn’t even speak, and my mother was upset. She gave me a blanket, a cup of hot coffee, and turned on the electric fireplace to keep me warm. She called the nearest service station, and they came to the car to replace the broken heating and cooling system. It felt great to be home.
