I regularly argue that prevention is better than cure. I come from a family of clumsy people who happen to just chop things easily often! Because of this habit, I decided to take precautions plus ensure our household appliances like the portable space heater, for any eventuality. Additionally, I got myself an air conditioner repair plan to cover any damage that might arise from any radiant furnace or cooling system mishandled or damaged. The agent made it clear that he won’t be responsible for any Heating & A/C repair or repair on any Heating & A/C equipment that is damaged outside the regular yearly service. At first, I thought I’d have an air conditioner equipment workman on call for emergencies but the cost per visit was beyond our budget. With a repair plan, there was an Heating & A/C corporation available to assist with any troubles. Although I was just preparing for the inevitable, our plan wasn’t well thought out because the buildings’ air quality systems were still in perfect working condition, meaning higher seer ratings overall. It would be a while before I would use the repair plan that I was paying for. In other words, I would end up spending more on the plan than actual repairs. So I arranged for a meeting with the Heating & A/C corporation that provides the repair plan to discuss terminating the contract since the building had new Heating & A/C. I figured it would be a while before the quality Heating & A/C provided way to new air conditioner installation.
