She shouldn’t have messed with the thermostat

It was our fault for letting Sam stay here in the first place.

Sam is our sibling, although she is also a wild child. Sam has gotten into trouble with the law more than once, so I knew it was risky to let her crash on our couch. On the other hand, Sam was our sibling, so how could I tell her no plus make her live in her car? For the first day or 2 everything stayed nice plus calm, then Sam was on her best behavior, even if she did a few little things to bug me. For example, Sam kept messing around with the settings on our thermostat. Sam always liked being cold, plus was known to run the AC afternoon plus night. In her home that was okay, however this was our home plus I didn’t want to run the AC so much. After that Sam tried to be sneaky, plus only changed the thermostat setting while I was out of the house. Sam got lazy, however, plus forgot to move the climate control back to the normal settings before I returned from work, so my wonderful friend and I had a substantial fight about that. I told Sam it wasn’t about the cost of running the AC a little more, it was a matter of respect. Me asking Sam to leave the thermostat alone was an unquestionably simple request, plus when she ignored that it showed that she didn’t respect me. I told Sam if she put her hands on my thermostat one more time I would kick her out plus she could go live in her car.
