If he’s feeling bad, my husband flat out refuses to turn the air conditioning on in the house.
I don’t know what his deal is, but he says that having the A/C on in the house when he’s sick makes him feel even worse. I don’t understand this way of thinking in the least. Whenever I’m sick, I like to feel the nice cool air conditioning blowing down on me. Then I will snuggle up under a blanket with my heating pad and it makes me feel cozy and like I want to take a nap and rest. My husband is the opposite, though. He drives me crazy whenever he’s sick because he always acts like it’s the end of the world if he just has a little sniffle or anything like that. It’s so annoying to me. And it’s even worse if heaven forbid, he has a cold during the summer whenever the rest of us need to be using the air conditioning. He doesn’t really seem to care if the rest of us in the house want to use the A/C. If he’s feeling bad, he doesn’t want to turn the air conditioning on at all. It’s almost like he wants to make sure that if he’s feeling bad, then he wants the rest of us to feel miserable too. I don’t think that’s actually what he actively thinks, but it certainly does seem to come across that way sometimes. I keep telling him that if he’s sick, that doesn’t mean that the rest of us have to overheat and feel hot and stuffy in the house but he doesn’t care.
