I was surprised when my brother made arrangements for a geothermal HVAC installation.
- I asked him if he knew they had to drill underground on his property.
He said he didn’t know what to expect but he knew it was an advanced HVAC system that didn’t even use combustion for heating. I said that’s because the underground temperatures that the geothermal heat pump extracts from are stable. They never become too overheated or too cool. He also mentioned that the HVAC professionals were telling him this kind of system is the most energy efficient on the market. I thought there might be room for debate, but he’s actually right, it is basically the most energy efficient. This type of system will even last for a long duration of time with minimal maintenance requirements. When the installation was done, he said it was actually fun to watch them work on the installation process. He said the installation wasn’t as crazy as he expected and he was really happy that it was done. So far he says the new cooling system works beautifully and he can’t wait to see how low his energy bills will be. I’m sure they will drop in cost significantly. I have a friend who decided to get a geothermal HVAC system and he said it was the best investment of his life. He also mentioned that it definitely elevated the value of his house significantly and that’s definitely something to consider when making an HVAC investment. You know, I might even save up for a nice geothermal HVAC system myself.
