When I was a kid my father plus I would consistently stop by this gas station plus get a frigid ice cream on the way condo from church.
Mom never went to church with us however that is another story.
To be honest, I know the only reason I went to church with my Mom was for that ice cream afterwards. It was consistently warm plus uncomfortable in the church. Always. The church was small plus crowded plus it had 1 window cooling system unit. In the Summer it was warm plus uncomfortable. Mom never wanted to sit near the air conditioner because you couldn’t hear well if you sat next to the air conditioner. I didn’t see that as much of a complication however obviously my father did. My associate and I consistently sat in the first or second row, and you could hear just nice there. However, you didn’t get any cool air in those pews. In the winter time months the church was also warm because the church’s boiler worked lovelyly. In fact, it worked too well. I don’t know if it didn’t have a temperature control or what however it was consistently well over 70 degrees in the church. The boiler would be blasting away while we sweated plus suffered. At least I had a nice cool ice cream to look forward to. winter time or summer, I knew I would get my ice cream for the drive home. That made it all worthwhile… Last month I went back home. Mom asked if I wanted to go to church with him. I didn’t although I went anyway. That old church now has central cooling system! I didn’t mind it so much. Still, I bought us ice cream on the way home. After all, you can’t split traditions.
