I have several more hours to get my shoulders back to feeling fine so I can teach this little 14 year old boy how to play the interest that he loves! The complication I’m having with my shoulders is I played approximately 10 games the other day and they’re very sore this week.
- I tried cooling them down with ice earlier and then heating them up with a warm water basket, however they still hurt.
I ended up taking some ibuprofen and also put on some cold relieving pain gel, however they still hurt. So I need to change the way I teach this week because I can’t do a huge amount of shoulder work so we will come up with some new volleyball techniques for the kid. Tomorrow, I am teaching some of the Heating, Ventilation & A/C appliance pros and Heating, Ventilation & A/C specialists, so I need to try to get my shoulders improved by tomorrow. I think tonight I will do the cold laser therapy on them and then I will also ice them down all over again, followed by heating them again with the warm water bag. The local dealer near me helped me a pretty good amount last year when my shoulders were in pain and I may need to go back again for another session or multiple. I have to do some Heating, Ventilation & A/C equipment fixes in a few weeks and I’m going to need some help doing that because there is a pretty good amount of heavy lifting involved. We will also be climbing through some fairly nasty ductwork that needs to be cleaned, so I will have some people helping me do the job and it should take some pressure off of my shoulders for sure.
