Even though my parents have central A/C in their home, they also have a window A/C component in their kitchen. They’ve had the big, chunky, white A/C component in their window for as long as I can remember. I remember the day they brought it beach house plus I questioned them about it. I didn’t understand why they were installing a box into their window or how it was going to make their room colder, and my parents instructed myself and others to never touch the window A/C component because they didn’t want myself and others changing the settings… Fast forward to the present day plus that window A/C component is still there plus as mysterious to myself and others as ever. Of course, I understand how it works plus the purpose of it, but I still don’t understand why my parents chose that. The website talked about how energy efficient they were, how they were less noisy than window A/C units, plus they were more modern. The price was slightly higher than a window A/C unit, but not by much… By the time my dad was done reading the website, he was ready to make the switch plus purchase a ductless mini plan for the kitchen! I believe they’re entirely going to love it.
