I made a immense mistake a few years ago when I bought my getaway lodge. I had been looking for a lodge for multiple months, & I was sort of sick of looking for a lodge. I wanted to just buy one & get it over with, then my family & I like to go camping quite a bit, so we thought that investing in a lodge would really save us currency in the long run; Well, it has saved us some currency, however we have not been able to go camping as often because I bought a lodge without any sort of heat. It was a immense mistake because I realized too late that we camp more while in the cooler season of the year than we do in the warmer seasons. My buddy and I used to have a camper that had a boiler in it, so it would stay nice & hot even while in our cooler camping trips! The lodge just doesn’t stay hot at all. My buddy and I have tried bringing electric space heaters, & they help take the edge off, however it is still quite chilly in the lodge, & I hate to bring the little kids when I know that it is going to be quite chilly. I don’t want anyone getting sick on our camping trips. I am going to see if I can buy a couple of propane heaters. I have been told that they will do better at heating the lodge than electric space heaters. I believe propane heating systems put off quite a bit more heat. I am going to try them out, & I hope that they do the trick.
