I wish that I had gotten our radiant heated flooring years ago! Of course, years ago, I did not recognize that anything called radiant heated flooring even existed.
Then last year, our Heating plus A/C worker told myself and others about radiant heated flooring when he was here laboring on our forced air gas furnace.
Every one of us had been having all kinds of trouble with our old electric gas furnace plus the two of us were looking into a current type of oil furnace. That’s when he explained to us how good he thinks Radiant heated flooring is. Radiant heated flooring is a form of central heating that achieves indoor temperature control using electrical heating elements that are inside of the floor. Apparently, it’s a really old plan of heating, even though I had never really heard of it before. After he mentioned it to us, I did a whole lot of research about it because it sounded love something that I would really be interested in. It turns out that radiant heated flooring can have a positive effect on the indoor air quality in your home. That’s simply because of the flooring type that you end up using with this oil furnace. Tile or slate is much better for your indoor air quality than carpet might be, in other words. Also heating through your floor helps with moisture control plus you don’t end up with mold, bacteria, or dust mites that might come through the air ducts that are used with a official forced air oil furnace. You end up with fewer allergens in your cabin if you use radiant heated flooring.
