Getting a fence to contain the dog

When my husband and I retired and moved south, we bought a little house that was in desperate need of renovations.

The kitchen and bathrooms were very outdated.

The windows needed to be replaced, and there was a lot of scrubbing and painting to do. One of our biggest priorities was installing a fence around our property. We have an Airedale puppy who loves to be outside. She has a lot of energy and needs to run, dig holes and play fetch. Keeping her on a leash is nearly impossible. We wanted to be able to let her outside into the backyard and make sure she would be entirely safe and secure. This required a fence she couldn’t dig under, squeeze through or jump over. We realized we needed a professional fencing company to handle the job properly. I searched online for fencing companies in the nearby area and read customer reviews. I chose a company that handles all the necessary permits and warranties their work. The guy showed up the very next day to look over our property. I explained the features we needed and he suggested an eight-foot tall wooden privacy fence. He provided an estimate, and we scheduled an appointment for installation of the fence the following week. They brought in a crew of guys and the fence was up in a single day. They created no mess and handled the job very quickly and professionally. Having a fence has added a great deal of value to our new home. We simply waterproof the fence every year in the late spring. It has been several years now and the fence still looks like new.
