My mom has been baking all day long and it is hot in the house.
I have the air conditioner on full speed but it just can’t compete with the oven.
We moved my mom into the spare bedroom 6 months ago. She is ready to retire and I need child care. So it is perfect. However, it was a big mistake to tell her about the school bake sale. I guess she thinks she needs to stock the bake sale entirely by herself because the oven hasn’t turned off all day. I am glad she is enthusiastic about helping out. However, at this rate, it will take several hours before the house cools down enough for us to sleep. It is already sundown. That means we are all going to have a hard time sleeping tonight. I would complain about it but it is already done. Besides, it is not really my mom’s fault that the air conditioner doesn’t work right. After all, the air conditioner should be able to keep up with the oven. It is not even summer yet. If the air conditioner can’t keep the house cool now it probably won’t be able too when the real heat hits either. I have known that the air conditioner needed some maintenance for over a year now but I have been ignoring it and hoping it would go away. Of course, it doesn’t work that way. Things never just fix themselves. So I guess I am going to have to call up a local air conditioning company in the morning. Hopefully they can fix the air conditioner without charging too much.
