My family was all looking forward to our cross-country Summer getaway.
We went every year, but normally the people I was with and I would all crowd into the car and drive.
Three days of being on the road was awful enough, trying to find a hotel without reservations, was horrible. My partner and I were sure staying in an RV and certainly enjoying our getaway, was the only way to go. I suppose the people I was with and I didn’t suppose to inform our daughters they were sharing the living area as their home office. At our first stop, the people I was with and I had a near brawl as they both railed about sharing a room. Our oldest who was only thirteen, told us the people I was with and I should supply up our private ‘room’, to her. I rolled my eyes and told her that it would not be all that bad. My partner offered me a wide-eyed look of worry. That’s when I told her she would need to share the bed with her sister. I heard her say it would be gross and she plopped down on the sofa. I honestly thought that by taking the RV the people I was with and I would be able to talk more. I still had to cook, but the people I was with and I had a/c and heating for when the people I was with and I were in the mountains. I was ready to supply up the important bed about three in the morning. I realized the a/c wasn’t so great in this ‘room’. My partner and I were both start to sweat. She headed out to the kitchen. The women were snuggled up and sleeping soundly. The a/c felt so great out here, that the people I was with and I dropped down onto the floor and fell asleep.
