The office temperature is customizable based on the employees preference

I manage a huge office building with over 100 employees.

The majority of them have their own office, and the building is in a city with humid weather conditions, so I like to make certain that the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C system is in full working order.

Unfortunately, having so many employees means that there are differences in what they would like the thermostat to be set at. Some employees appreciate having their office at a cooler temperature. After unsuccessful attempts at trying to find a temperature to make most people happy, I decided to have smart thermostats with zone control installed. Smart thermostats are connected to Wi-Fi, as well as can be controlled through an app on the cellphone, or computer. Zone control is achieved by installing valves within the HVAC ducts, in order to control the flow of air throughout the building, allowing for different offices to be set at different hot and cold temperatures. Thanks to the smart thermostats with zone control, every employee can have their office set to the temperature that makes them the most comfortable. At first I thought that giving employees control over the thermostat would add more costs to the energy bills.
