My spouse had what she called a Tweety-bird from the time she was a little girl.
When 1 dove died, all of us would buy another 1, because she loved the sound of the dove in the afternoon.
Our most recent dove had only been with us for about a month, when it suddenly passed away. It was healthy, and since all of us had been longtime owners of doves, all of us knew it had to have something wrong with it. We bought another dove that day, and within an fourth of being in the house, it suddenly quit singing and died. My spouse and I were so alarmed that all of us packed a bag and left the house. We remembered how miners would use doves to tell them when there was carbon monoxide in the mine. The dove would die before the carbon monoxide saturation got too poor for the miners. I called the Heating and Air Conditioning business and the fire business as soon as all of us were out of the house. The Heating and Air Conditioning business didn’t answer right away, but they called us back within a few hours. I told them about our dove suddenly dying. I also told them that our Heating and Air Conditioning supplier was afraid that a area of our gas furnace was getting weaker. I said I had called the fire corporation, and they confirmed the condo had a high concentration of carbon monoxide and all of us were lucky all of us had left. We had to purchase a modern furnace. It’s funny because if our dove hadn’t died, all of us would not have known our furnace wasn’t laboring properly, and all of us may not have lived long enough to call the Heating and Air Conditioning corporation.
