My poor cat misses the old radiator

I have lived in the same apartment for the past 15 years.

When I moved into the building, it was old and decrepit.

Some of the apartments on the first floor were closed down because of damages from a storm. The owner of the apartment building claimed to be making some changes, but I didn’t see any sign of construction when I moved into the building. After five years, I gave up on changes and decided to accept the problems in my apartment. One issue was the radiators. The radiators delivered heat to my apartment. There was a radiator in the living room and another in the bedroom. I also had another radiator heater in the bathroom. The radiator heaters provided lots of warm air, but they were terribly unpredictable. Sometimes they worked and sometimes they got stuck in one position and the temperature was hard to control. My cat loved sitting on the window sill above the radiator and she was really sad when the building owner sold the place. The new owner made some changes and one of the biggest was getting rid of the radiators. I live in building number one and my apartment was one of the first places to receive the updates after the building was purchased. My cat misses sitting above the heater, but I love the new changes. Each apartment has a ductless mini-split HVAC unit to control the heating and cooling. The utility bills are significantly lower. I like the new changes but my rent is going to increase next time I sign the lease.
