My fingers got wrapped up in the string.

I sat in the chair and I was watching closely when the beautician was working on my daughter’s haircut.

I wasn’t watching her get her haircut, but I was watching the young woman who was working on another girl’s eyebrows.

She wrapped a string around her fingers. She then carefully slides the string back and forth across the eyebrows. I walked over to see what she was doing. The person doing the string told me that she was plucking the eyebrow. When she was done with the girl, she showed me how she had wrapped the string. A certain way she moved her fingers, had made the loop she made, roll back and forth. As the loop rolled across the hair, it wrapped around a hair and pulled it out. I couldn’t wait to get home and find how to do this for myself. I went online, and I looked up how to string? I had cotton string at the house. I tied the knot just like it said to tie it in the video. I thought I had the string wrapped perfectly around my fingers until I tried to pull hair. I had talked my husband into sitting down and letting me pull a few hairs from his arm. Not only did I not pull the hair, but I had the string wrapped so tightly around my fingers, that it dug in and gave me what felt like a paper cut. I realized it was going to take a lot of practice to learn how to remove hair by stringing. I didn’t have the patience.
