I heard the manager screaming from the front of the diner

My wife and I have been eating breakfast at the same diner every morning for the past 10 years.

We pass the diner on our way to work.

We used to stop on the mornings when we had time and our schedule and then we started making time every morning so we could stop for eggs, toast, sausage, ham, and coffee. A couple of months ago, the owner of the diner passed away and the business was sold. The new owner works as the manager during the day. The guy introduced himself one morning when my wife and I went to the diner for breakfast. Harvey seemed like a nice guy, but most of the employees quit shortly after the new owner bought the restaurant. One morning last week, my wife and I were having breakfast and we heard the manager screaming from the front of the diner. We were seated at a table by the front doors and I heard the manager screaming about the AC. I didn’t know the diner was having problems with the indoor temperatures. My wife and I were perfectly comfortable at the table. We would have never known about any AC problems if the manager had not been so loud. Harvey carried on for 5 or 10 minutes and then our server came to the table to apologize for the disruption. My wife and I have been enjoying breakfast there every morning for 10 years, but it might be time to look for a new place to enjoy our bacon, ham, and eggs. This place is going down the drain very quickly.
