I wanted to get a Brazilian wax prior to going on vacation. My friends and I had talked about going to the beach, all winter long. We couldn’t wait to get away for spring break and head to the beach. When you live in the north, you spend 95% of your winter in jeans or sweatpants. You wear whatever is going to keep you warm and comfortable. I shouldn’t say it out loud, but I don’t even shave my legs in the winter. Now that going to the beach is becoming a reality, I need to get ready for my new bathing suit. I called several of our local spas, but none of them can wax anything other than your eyebrows. I wanted a complete waxing. I had to go into the city. While looking for a salon that did Brazilian waxing, I found a website that gave a recipe for wax made with sugar. It showed the entire procedure for how to wax from home. The recipe called for sugar, water, lemon juice and essential oils. I was going to do my Brazilian wax in the privacy and comfort of my home. I had the sugaring agent prepared, and it was cooling. I thought I was ready to begin, but I thought about the pain that came with waxing. I wasn’t sure I could inflict that pain on myself. I had one strip in place over the sugaring. I washed it off, and called the salon in the city, to make an appointment for a Brazilian wax. I made the appointment for a week before we were heading south.
