How I broke my heater

I don’t know what I would do without my wife.

I will fully admit I have always been a stubborn type and add to that I’m also the type of person that likes to save money.

Now don’t get me wrong I don’t think there’s anything wrong with wanting to save money. But for me it gets so bad that I could be considered cheap. When our heater started having issues she was insistent that we should call a heating and cooling technician. It would have been really easy to do, there was a local heating and AC corporation nearby and having a heating and AC supplier nearby would allow us to easily get a professional to come out and take a look at our heater and probably have it fixed the same day as long as the damage wasn’t too bad. However, I wanted to prove to her that I was a man of the house and that I could easily fix it for her. I had a small amount of handyman training but I had absolutely zero experience in working with any type of machinery of the heating and cooling kind. All I did was went to a local store and picked up some cheap tools. I briefly scanned through a manual for heating and cooling devices and thought to myself I had this all figured out and I was thinking why do they pay heating and cooling technicians to specialize in something that I can do myself. I was wrong, wrong, and wrong. After working on my heater for an hour I definitely did have an effect on it. I completely broke it; It wouldn’t even power on. In the end my wife got to me she told me so and I had to pay for the expensive repair fee for my now completely broken heater.
