Wow, I’m actually a homeowner.
This is an accomplishment that I’ll carry with me for a long time.
For sure, I won’t forget the first time I owned the place I lived and enjoyed my own HVAC equipment. But it sure took a lot of effort and patience. There was more than a decade of renting. Honestly, I was pretty lucky with most places that I rented. Yet, it was never my house and I never got the sort of heating and cooling comfort that I really wanted. I don’t know, maybe I’m super sensitive or something. Perhaps my internal thermostat is a bit off or has very specific parameters. But I just never found the rentals to have the sort of quality heating and air that I wanted. So I saved and saved. But the more I saved, the more it took for a downpayment on a home. It was very much like two steps forward followed by a step and a half backward. That was a challenge for sure. Yet, I kept at it as homeownership was a priority. And then, this little house sort of fell in my lap. A guy I worked with alerted me to it and it was a hidden gem. Of course, it needed work but I could handle most of the stuff. However, I did need to replace the HVAC unit. That was actually fine with me as I really wanted to go with a ductless multi split heating and cooling system. There are 3 ductless heat pumps in my little two bedroom home and they provide just amazing heating and cooling comfort.
