Back when I was in school, the heating system was crazy

I remember going to school in the winter when I was a kid and the heating was always completely out of control.

It was always so hot inside of the school building that I remember thinking that it felt like we were all walking into a furnace instead of walking into classes during the winter.

I hated wearing winter clothes during the winter for that very reason. I mean, outside in the cold temperatures on the way to school was one thing, but then once I got there it was a totally different story. I would have my coat with me and have on a sweater and jeans, but by the time I got to my first period class, I would be sweating underneath my clothes because the heating system was always going full blast. I really hate the feeling of being sweaty with a hot sweater or coat on! I think it feels awful, but that’s just the way things were back then when I was in school. I remember it always being that way during the winters whenever the school staff had the heating system running in the building. It’s like the heating system couldn’t be adjusted or something. It was either running the heating on full blast or not at all. I don’t know if back then they didn’t have a little something called a thermostat unit or what, but it was always terrible for the students. It was especially bad after gym class whenever you were sweating and freezing but then burning up and sweating again in the hot classrooms after gym!
